All images are photographed on transparency film and then printed from 4x5 or 8x10 negatives.

ARTIST STATEMENT

First and foremost are the special people in my life - and then art. From earliest recollection there was art.

Art has been a rudder to navigate with when there was the danger of being blown off course. It has nurtured sensibilities that I try to apply beyond creative pursuits. It is the immeasurable joy of creating and the inextinguishable wonderment at Creation. Any path through life that did not fully involve art was impossible.

Artistic passion and a fascination for the dynamic forces and ever changing elements of nature, eventually led to photography as my primary mode of artistic expression. These "Impressions of Nature" are my ever-evolving response to this lifelong commitment to the arts, to that consuming need for creative expression, and my tremendous appreciation for natures limitless splendors.

MASTERWORKS

Masterworks was created as a business identity in 1984. Through Masterworks, Kurt publishes his award-winning postcards, note cards, posters and limited edition prints. Kurt also exhibits and sells his fine art photography at a few major outdoor art festivals in New York State. His unique interpretations of the natural world have garnered numerous awards.

The primary business focus of Masterworks is entrepreneurial in nature, involving product and print creation, self-publishing, and self-marketing. Although Masterworks does not aggressively pursue the commercial, advertising or stock agency usage of this work, it is available for selective uses that do not infringe on Masterworks own marketing and publishing plans. Kurt's work is utilized by many corporate clients. A few of these include - Buffalo / Niagara International Airport, The Delaware North Companies, Occidental, Carrier Corporation, Marine Midland Bank, Dupont, New York State Tourism, Cedar Point, National Fuel Gas, Benderson Corporation.

Kurt's work has hung in the internationally renowned Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY and has appeared in Sierra Club Calendars.
